Agricultural Burn Decision

Burn permit holders are required to contact their local fire district prior to burning. Open burning may be prohibited when fire danger conditions exist, even though air quality conditions may be favorable for open burning. Even if a permissive burn day has been declared based on air quality conditions, other requirements in District Rule 101 may be applicable in some cases to maximize combustion efficiency and minimize smoke emissions.
